Date: 5/16/2008 Title: Intermed selects to partner with Norris News: One of the projects that Norris, Inc. is most proud of is the closing of the high profile Intermed Building just off Route 295 in Portland. This is the largest current construction project in Portland. It is a fast track, works in progress, design/build job and the building owners needed to settle with a company they could trust to work through the design, installation and implementation of a complex, multi-office high security medical building. The fact that we were selected from an elite list of dealers says everything about the professional presentation our team provided and the reputation that Norris has developed in life safety, security and communications technologies.

Gary Murdock, an established local Vermont presence will be joining the Norris team. Gary has extensive experience in alarm and communication technologies and specifically the Notifier product line where he has a proven track record in sales for the territory. He also has the unique ability to sell and service the products having a Vermont electrician’s license and experience in Vermont’s unique life safety inspection procedures. Gary was quoted as saying “I believe in building our sales in the area through service”. He clearly recognizes the need to provide superior customer service, which has been the trademark of Norris Inc and the key to our success in Bangor and later Greenland, New Hampshire. Bradford J. Norris President: Brad assumed the role of President of Norris Inc in October 2007. He has accumulated 25 years of experience in the industry and is widely respected having authored several articles in trade publications over the years. A graduate of the University of Southern Maine in 1978 with a bachelors degree in business administration, he immediately went into the restaurant business owning and managing the hugely popular and successful New England Kitchen. Brad then joined his brother and founder of Norris Inc., Harty Norris in 1983 and shortly after became co-owner with him. He is former President of the MBFAA and remains active in many industry trade associations. He is a Portland, ME native whose background includes 36 years in the safety and communications industry. Before entering the alarm industry, Jim was in military electronics and electrical contracting. He attended the University of Southern Maine's Industrial Technology Program. Jim joined Norris Inc. in 2001 with 19 years of experience at Simplex in sales, design and management in the life safety, security and communications business. As the Bangor general manager, he is responsible for Norris Inc.'s Northern and Central Maine territory. He is NICET certified as a Senior Electronics Technician, Level IV, and holds a Maine Master Electrical license. Jim has designed and managed numerous large system integration installations in Maine’s largest facilities including Maine State prison in Warren, 9 of the 15 County Jails, 27 of the Maine’s 39 Major Hospitals and over 5000 projects to date. Completed Projects include Control Systems integrating Voice, CCTV, Fire Alarm and Building Management. He is a proud Grandpa and a diehard New Englander who would rather be outdoors even in January.
Jason M. Roberts Jason is the General Manager for our New Hampshire Territories. He grew up locally and graduated from Gorham High School in 1995. Upon graduation Jason served 4 years with the United States Marine Corp as a Combat Engineer, during which time he received The Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal. Since his discharge he has spent 10 years in the industry and joined the Norris team 6 years ago. He has been instrumental in expanding the Norris Installation Department to the level it is today with high quality turn-key installations. His broad knowledge of a wide range of systems and installation techniques has contributed highly to the success of the company. He is NTS CAT Level 1 and holds a Maine State Low-Energy License. He graduated from Southern Maine Technical College’s electronics program in 1990 and became a service technician for Norris Inc. Back then, Norris Inc. was a small fire and security alarm company and he was the sole technician. Since that time, he has been an integral part of developing the company into the industries’ service leader that it is today. His technical aptitude helped Norris Inc. expand into the nurse call, school intercom, telephone system, access control and CCTV markets. In 1999, he became Norris Inc.’s Operations Manager overseeing all aspects of the service, installation and inspection departments. He consistently met the needs of such high profile accounts as USM, LL Bean and Pratt and Whitney to name a few. He is currently responsible for all aspects of training and professional development for all Norris Inc. locations. He is NICET Level IV certified in fire protection engineering technology and has a Maine low energy electrician’s license. In addition to these duties, he is the Safety Coordinator for the company and is a member of the Northern New England Safety and Health Council.
Joshua R. Delano Director of Information Technology - With over 8 years in business network administration experience, Norris Inc is able to work directly with their clients IT staff and design and implement systems that are fully network based and often time work with customers to improve their existing network infrastructure at the same time.
